简介：玛丽皇后二号(RMS Queen Mary 2) 是一艘隶属冠纳邮轮公司 (Cunard Line) 的豪华邮轮。玛丽皇后二号以另一艘被取代了的姊妹邮轮玛丽皇后号来命名。玛丽皇后号，则取名自前英女皇玛丽皇后(伊利沙伯2世祖母)。在2003年建造的时候，玛丽皇后二号被公认为世界上最长、最阔和最高的客轮。她亦曾是排水量最大的客轮，达到148，528吨。2006年4月这个纪录被皇家加勒比国际邮轮公司建造，排水量154，407吨的海洋自由号 (Freedom of the Seas) 取替。虽然如此，她仍是目前全球体积最大的远洋客轮。玛丽皇后二号有15个餐厅和酒吧、5个游泳池、1个赌场、1个舞池、1个舞台和1个天象馆。玛丽皇后二号， 21世纪最大的远洋客轮的构想， 来自卡纳德邮轮公司母公司嘉年华集团(Carnival)首席执行官Mickey Arison。他曾经说: 「嘉年华集团购买冠纳的目的， 是要创造玛丽皇后二号， 而不是相反。1998年12月10日， 卡纳德邮轮公司邀请以下造船厰竞投: 北爱尔兰的Harland and Wolff， 挪威的Aker Kvòrner， 义大利的Fincantieri， 德国的Meyer Werft和法国的Chantiers de l'Atlantique。如果立刻开始建造， 原本可望在2002年投入服务。但卡纳德邮轮公司在2000年11月6日才决定将建造合约授予 Chantiers de l'Atlantique (母公司是阿尔斯通公司 (Alstom))。Chantiers de l'Atlantique 的出品包括 SS Normandie 和 SS France等轮船。
