Burroughs: The Movie is the first and only feature length documentary to be made with and about Burroughs. The film was directed by the late Howard Brookner. It was begun in 1978 as Brookner's senior thesis at NYU film school and then expanded into a feature which was completed 5 years later in 1983. 简介：电视栏目的两位主持人卡门与梅森正在办离婚，希瑟是卡门的妹妹兼私人助理，希瑟想成为像姐姐一样的主持人，在练习播报新闻的过程中，被梅森的个人魅力所吸引，姐姐怀疑自己妹妹与梅森有染后，希瑟和布鲁克发现了在水中死去已久的卡门。探长克鲁兹发现这起案件是他杀，怀疑对象落到了梅森和希瑟身上。希瑟无助地向卡门的律师桑德拉求救，桑德拉则为希瑟请了另一位律师汉密尔顿。希瑟回到梅森家，正好看到了桑德拉在与梅森亲热。她拍下了全过程并得知，原来姐姐的死和汉密尔顿的死都是梅森与桑德拉二人所为。而桑德拉欲指使梅森把希瑟也杀掉。希瑟查清了梅森的毒瘾与他所欠下的高额赌债，而桑德拉在许多年前便与梅森发展起了婚外情，希瑟来到电视台连接直播网络，并向世人说出了故事的真相。最后希瑟正式成为了电视台的首席女主播。
