简介：电影的背景设置在 1874 年，康德拉·科赫（Daniel Brühl 饰）是德国一男校的英语老师。校长冯·墨菲德（伯格哈特·克莱斯纳 Burghart Klaußner 饰）一心想通过改革为学校注入新的元素，所以他聘请了科赫教授学生英语，而科赫也因此成为了德国第一批中学英语教师。从一开始，科赫就发现让学生们了解一个真正的英国是多么重要，世代流传下来的偏见就是孩子们对英国所知的一切。为了激发学生对外语的兴趣，这位牛津大学的毕业生不得不求助于非传统的方法，把足球这项运动介绍给他的学生。然而，科赫创新的教学方法不久就给他带来了很多麻烦，使他成为学生家长、当地权贵甚至他同事的眼中钉，他们不惜一切代价都想将他赶走，但他的学生们却并不愿他离开。电影于 2011 年 2 月在柏林电影节首映，之后在德国各大电影院上映。电影入选了里约和蒙特利尔电影节，并收获了 3 项德国电影奖提名。
