Und die Hilfsjobs, die Maik ohne jegliche Ausbildung bekommen kann, machen ihm weder Spaß noch bringen sie genügend ein. So kann er der Verlockung des schnellen Geldes nicht widerstehen. Ein Kumpel aus dem Knast hatte ihm eine Telefonnummer zugesteckt und was sich zuerst wie ein harmloser Fahrerjob anhört, entpuppt sich schnell als kriminelle Aktion, der auch die Polizei auf der Spur ist. Maik steckt bald im dicksten Schlamassel.Der junge Regisseur Michael Kupczyk hat diesen Film als Abschlussarbeit seines Film-Studiums an der Fachhochschule Dortmund mit entsprechend bescheidener finanzieller Ausstattung, aber großem Engagement aller Beteiligten gedreht. Man kann kein großes Kino erwarten, aber einen ehrlichen Film über jemanden, der nicht auf der Sonnenseite des Lebens groß geworden ist und deshalb große Sehnsucht danach hat. Sehnsucht nach einem finanziell sorglosen Leben, Sehnsucht danach, anderen gegenüber großzügig sein zu können. Sehnsucht nach einer heilen Familie, die ihm in der Kindheit gefehlt hat. Michael Kupczyks Film gelingt es, seine Hauptfiguren in all ihren Unzulänglichkeiten doch voller Respekt und Verständnis zu zeigen und er schafft ein überraschendes augenzwinkerndes Ende.
