简介：鶴亀次郎は、裸一貫から叩き上げ、一代にその代を築いた建設会社の社長である。大ワンマンで、頑固一徹で、ガミガミで、八方破れの、とにかくやかましいおやじ、子どもたちが“おやじ太鼓”と仇名をつけている程である。この“おやじ太鼓”、朝は5時に起き、夜は8時になるともう寝てしまうが、起きている間は鳴りどうしなのである。大声で怒鳴るのを一種の健康法と心得ているらしい。しかし次男洋二の作曲中の歌にもあるように、もうみんなは慣れっこになっていて、今ではそう怖くはない。さらりさらりとかわす術を心得ているが、損な役回りは女中の初子、ひとこと多いばっかりにカミナリの洗礼を浴びている。これも誕生日が同じという因縁なのか。さて今回も、一騒動ありそうである……。
