tle is a play on the phrase At Her Majestys Pleasure (the show was performed at Her Majestys Theatre, London). In America, the film was originally called Monty Python Meets Beyond the Fringe.This show came to be considered part of the Secret Policemans Ball series of shows that it inspired, although it pre-dated the first show in the series by three years.The event was organized by a team of three: Monty Python member John Cleese, Amnestys Assistant Director Peter Luff and Transatlantic Records executive Martin Lewis. It featured the cream of Britains comedic talent of the era, setting a precedent that would inspire many subsequent Amnesty galas, as well as Comic Relief. The concept was also the inspiration of similar events, also in aid of Amnesty International in countries around the world as far away as Australia, in the case of the Stand Up For Your Rights Comedy Galas.The film consists of both on-stage and back-stage footage, taken from all three nights of the run (1–3 April 1976).Luff and Lewis collaborated on producing the successor show - video-taped in 1977 as The Mermaid Frolics. 简介：1986年，因拍摄电影《女大学生宿舍》而一举成名的女导演史蜀君，读到了琼瑶的小说《月朦胧鸟朦胧》，决定把小说拍成电视连续剧。据史蜀君回忆，她当时并不知道琼瑶小说已经风靡了大陆，她是从一位朋友处借得的这本书，是台湾的繁体字版本，而这本书居然是从美国辗转流传进大陆的。跟当时绝大多数大陆青年女性一样，史蜀君立刻就被琼瑶笔下的爱情打动了，这种完全不考虑政治需要的作品表达方式令她着迷，决定将《月朦胧鸟朦胧》改编成电视剧。她回忆说：“感觉非常新鲜，把政治背景社会矛盾都滤掉了，纯粹就是爱情，或婉转，或强烈，情话写得特别棒，她的小说就像一个花园，没有大树和小草，只有花，品种丰富，时而风和日丽，时而狂风暴雨。”1987年，电视连续剧《月朦胧鸟朦胧》正式播出，非常受欢迎。看惯了革命爱情的中国观众们突然明白了一个生活道理：爱情是自己的私生活，爱情就是爱情，不需要掺杂其他的需要。
