简介：踏入九十年代，香港人普遍陷入时日无多的恐惧中，一些人失去目标及信念，产生赌仔心态，希望在有限时空中以小抟大，但输赢都是一时之镜花水月，终归没有赌仔买肥田的事。无线二十集「大赌场」以杜家昌（罗嘉良）从外国留学归来作为开端，昌姊家炜（林漪娸）及妹家莉（刘玉翠）对之抱着极大期望，昌在各种压力下，极想早日出人头地，无奈事与愿违，事事皆不如意，与女友王恩明（关秀媚）多年感情，更因误会而闹致分手。昌在事业爱情两失意下，得好友杨立标（邵仲衡）介绍进入蔡炳强（曾江）之集团内做事，表现出色，甚得强重用，后昌虽发现强实作非法勾当，在利欲熏心下，仍选择为强效力。明自与昌分手后，感情失落，强乘虚而入，明在父母驱使及赌气心态下，终成强情妇，及后明尽尝玩物的滋味，甚感后悔，但已不能回头。与此同时，标因执行任务失败，强将之引为明之保镖兼司机。标早己暗恋明，因昌才将情藏于心底，现见明沦落成这样子，甚为悲痛，逐将感情发泄在钟情他的丁小莹（林燕明）身上，其后昌与明爱火重燃，有如引火自焚，标为之隐瞒，但纸包不住火，事情被强发现，强更发觉昌欲染指其位，大为震怒，顿起杀机……
