简介：在一个星空璀璨的空间里，有一只名叫茉莉的小怪物，她有一个好朋友，名叫艾迪森，是一个发条玩具，他很喜欢跟茉莉一起玩，所以当茉莉将所有的精力转移到别的什么上面的时候，他开始表现出强烈的不满。小茉莉正在织一个红色的帽子，打算送给自己未出世的弟弟，很快，茉莉的弟弟被生出来了，但是那仅仅是一个魔蛋，那个蛋需要去蛋岛孵化才能顺利生出小怪物，于是一家人开始准备着出发启程去魔岛。但是在出发之前，茉莉在去给爸爸送帽子的时候，因为走得仓促，帽子被忘在了家里，而直到上车的最后一刻，茉莉才被告知，她这个年轻是不被允许去蛋岛的，茉莉跟艾迪森本来在和叔叔们玩棒球，但茉莉忽然发现了帽子并没有被爸爸带走，而是被留在了家里。于是，为了追上爸爸和妈妈的车，茉莉赶上了循环火车，希望能在爸爸妈妈离开之前拦住他们，将帽子让他们带走。他们来到了绵延山脉区，但茉莉还是没来得及追上爸爸妈妈的车，她最后决定，带着艾迪森一起前往蛋岛，给未出世的弟弟送帽子。与此同时，小怪物茉莉的叔叔们受到了茉莉寄回去的信，上面解释了小怪物茉莉忽然消失的原因，她要去给未出世的小弟弟送帽子，而艾迪森全程跟着小怪物茉莉一起去了。于是叔叔们也开始驾着车去寻找小怪物茉莉，而小怪物茉莉的爸爸妈妈知道茉莉出门找他们之后，也开始对她和艾迪森进行寻找，终于，他们所有人同小怪物茉莉会和，并且带着茉莉一起前往蛋岛。
